TeroPDF Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how IT-Keys LLC ("IT-Keys," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the TeroPDF mobile application.

TeroPDF is a PDF utility application that allows users to create, scan, import, organize, edit, convert, compress, OCR, sign, protect, annotate, and otherwise work with PDF files and related documents.

TeroPDF is designed so that document processing is performed locally on the user's device. TeroPDF does not require an account or sign-up to use the application.

This Privacy Policy describes both information handled directly by TeroPDF and information that may be processed by third-party services integrated into the application, including Google AdMob and Firebase.

TeroPDF processes the documents, images, text, signatures, annotations, metadata, and other content that you choose to open, create, edit, or import in order to perform the PDF operation you request.

Your document contents are processed locally on your device.

IT-Keys does not upload your PDFs, scanned pages, imported images, OCR text, signatures, document passwords, or other document contents to IT-Keys servers for PDF processing.

TeroPDF does not use your private document contents for advertising, behavioral profiling, or training artificial-intelligence models.

Files that you create or import may be stored in TeroPDF's app-specific local storage on your device until you delete them or uninstall the application.

TeroPDF does not require broad access to all files or all photos stored on your device.

When you choose a PDF, image, or other supported file, TeroPDF uses Android's file or media selection interfaces so that you choose the specific files you want to make available to TeroPDF.

Selecting a file through the Android picker grants TeroPDF access to that selected item for the requested operation. It does not give TeroPDF unrestricted access to all files or photos on your device.

The application does not require Android permissions such as broad all-files storage access for its normal file-selection workflows.

TeroPDF's standard Scan to PDF feature uses the Google ML Kit document scanner provided through Google Play services.

Google states that the document scanner performs its scanning processing on-device and that the application itself does not need Camera permission for the standard Google Play services scanning flow.

When you start the document scanner, Google Play services manages the scanner interface and camera interaction and returns the pages you choose to keep to TeroPDF.

TeroPDF may also include a fallback scanning method for devices or situations where the standard Google document scanner is unavailable. Only if that fallback requires direct camera access may TeroPDF ask you for Android Camera permission. The request is made only when you initiate that fallback feature. You may refuse the permission.

TeroPDF does not access your camera continuously or in the background.

TeroPDF does not require you to create an account and does not require your name, email address, password, contacts, SMS messages, call logs, or precise GPS location to use its normal PDF features.

TeroPDF does not maintain a cloud copy of your documents and does not provide automatic cloud synchronization of your document contents.

If you voluntarily contact IT-Keys for support, we may receive the information you choose to provide in your email or support request, such as your email address, message, screenshots, or attachments.

TeroPDF may process limited technical information about an installation of the application to support application operations and push-notification functionality.

This information may include an app-generated device or installation identifier, Firebase Cloud Messaging token, application version, selected language or locale, operating-system type and version, Android SDK version, and general device information such as manufacturer and model.

This technical registration information does not include the contents of your PDF files, imported images, scans, signatures, OCR text, or other private documents.

Where this registration service is enabled, this limited technical information may be transmitted to infrastructure operated for TeroPDF.

TeroPDF uses Google Firebase services to help understand application usage, improve reliability, and support application functionality.

Firebase Analytics may process information about how the application is used, such as app launches, screens or features used, events generated by the application, language preferences, application information, installation identifiers, and technical device information.

Google Analytics for Firebase is designed to provide application usage and engagement measurement, and Firebase services may use identifiers associated with a particular application installation.

TeroPDF does not intentionally send the contents of your PDF documents, scanned pages, imported images, signatures, or OCR text to Firebase Analytics.

The application may also use Firebase Cloud Messaging to support notifications. Firebase Cloud Messaging uses an installation/token identifier to address notifications to a particular application installation.

Diagnostic or crash information may also be processed by Firebase components integrated into TeroPDF where those services are enabled.

Google processes information collected through Firebase according to Google's applicable privacy and Firebase terms.

TeroPDF is supported by advertising and uses Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK to display advertisements.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically process information such as your IP address, advertising or app identifiers, interactions with advertisements or the application, and diagnostic information. An IP address may also be used to estimate a device's general location.

This information may be used by Google for purposes including advertising, analytics, measurement, security, and fraud prevention.

AdMob does not receive your private PDF documents, scanned document contents, imported document images, signatures, or OCR output from TeroPDF for advertising purposes.

Depending on your location, consent choices, device settings, and applicable law, advertisements may be personalized, non-personalized, limited, or technically delivered. Google's advertising systems support different ad-serving modes based on applicable consent signals.

TeroPDF uses Google's User Messaging Platform ("UMP") to obtain and manage advertising-related consent where required.

For users in applicable regions such as the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, TeroPDF may display a Google-provided privacy message that allows the user to consent, decline consent, or manage privacy choices.

TeroPDF checks whether advertising may be requested before requesting ads through the Google Mobile Ads SDK.

Where required by Google's UMP configuration, TeroPDF also provides a Privacy options control in the application so that users can review or change their advertising privacy choices later. Google's UMP documentation specifically provides this mechanism for withdrawing or modifying consent.

Information described in this policy may be used to operate TeroPDF, provide requested PDF functionality, remember application preferences, understand application usage, troubleshoot problems, improve application performance and usability, provide notifications where enabled, display and measure advertisements, prevent advertising fraud and abuse, respond to support requests, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use the contents of your private documents for targeted advertising.

TeroPDF currently relies on Google services that may process limited information independently as described in this policy, including Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK, Google User Messaging Platform, Firebase services, Google Play services, and Google ML Kit document scanner.

Those providers process information subject to their own terms, privacy policies, and applicable data-processing agreements.

If you choose to share a PDF or another result with a third-party application or service using Android's sharing functionality, the information you choose to share will then be handled according to that third party's privacy practices.

Documents and generated files stored locally by TeroPDF remain on your device until you delete them, clear the application's data, or uninstall the application, subject to normal Android storage behavior.

IT-Keys does not retain remote copies of your document contents as part of normal TeroPDF PDF-processing operations.

Limited application/device-registration information, where that feature is enabled, may be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the related application or notification functionality, maintain security, troubleshoot problems, or comply with applicable legal obligations.

Information collected by Google AdMob and Firebase is retained according to Google's applicable settings, retention policies, and legal requirements.

TeroPDF is designed to minimize the transmission of private document content by performing PDF and document-processing operations locally on the device.

Where technical information must be transmitted to third-party services or TeroPDF infrastructure, we use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and service involved.

No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Google and other service providers used by TeroPDF may process information in countries other than your country of residence.

Where applicable, information is handled according to the provider's applicable data-protection terms and legally recognized international-transfer mechanisms.

Depending on your country and applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal information, including rights to request access, correction or deletion, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and lodge a complaint with an appropriate supervisory authority.

Advertising consent choices can be changed through the Privacy options feature in TeroPDF when required and available.

You can also control certain permissions, notifications, advertising identifiers, and privacy options through your Android device settings.

TeroPDF is a general-purpose productivity application and is not directed specifically to children under 13.

We do not knowingly request children to create an account or submit personal information through TeroPDF.

Advertising and analytics features may be subject to additional restrictions where applicable law, Google policies, or application audience settings require them.

We may update this Privacy Policy if TeroPDF's features, integrations, legal requirements, or data-handling practices change.

When the policy is updated, the "Last updated" date shown at the top of this page will be revised. Additional notice will be provided where required by applicable law.
