TeroPDF Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and IT-Keys LLC ("IT-Keys," "we," "us," or "our") governing your download, installation, access to, and use of the TeroPDF mobile application and any TeroPDF service or webpage that expressly links to these Terms.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using TeroPDF, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to review our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use TeroPDF.

You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms under the laws applicable to you.

If you are below the age at which you can independently enter into a binding agreement where you live, you may use TeroPDF only with the permission and appropriate supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

TeroPDF is a general-purpose productivity application and is not specifically directed to children under 13.

TeroPDF is a PDF and document-productivity application.

Depending on the application version and device capabilities, TeroPDF may provide tools for:

• viewing, merging, splitting, reordering, cropping, and organizing PDF files;
• adding page numbers and watermarks;
• compressing and optimizing PDFs;
• converting images to PDF and PDF pages to images;
• scanning paper documents into PDFs;
• performing OCR;
• creating PDFs from text, Markdown, or CSV data;
• annotating and redacting PDFs;
• editing PDF metadata;
• filling PDF forms;
• adding signatures or initials;
• protecting and unlocking PDF files; and
• importing, exporting, opening, saving, and sharing documents.

Features may change between application versions and may depend on your device, operating system, file format, available storage, language, hardware capabilities, Google Play services availability, or other technical limitations.

The Google ML Kit document-scanning functionality used by TeroPDF's standard scanning flow is delivered through Google Play services and operates on-device.

TeroPDF is designed so that its PDF and document-processing operations are performed locally on your device.

IT-Keys does not require you to upload your private PDFs, imported images, scanned pages, signatures, OCR output, or other document contents to IT-Keys servers in order to perform the normal PDF-processing features described above.

Some non-document services integrated into TeroPDF, such as advertising, analytics, notifications, or Google Play services functionality, may require an internet connection and may communicate with the applicable third-party service.

These network services do not change the local nature of TeroPDF's document-processing operations.

You retain your rights in PDFs, images, text, signatures, scans, and other content that you choose to process using TeroPDF ("User Content").

IT-Keys does not acquire ownership of your User Content merely because you process it using TeroPDF.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right or authorization to access, edit, scan, convert, sign, unlock, share, or otherwise process any document you use with TeroPDF.

You must not use TeroPDF to violate another person's copyright, privacy, confidentiality, contractual rights, intellectual-property rights, or other applicable legal rights.

TeroPDF may allow you to select files or images using interfaces provided by Android or other system components.

You are responsible for choosing which documents or images you want TeroPDF to process.

The availability and behavior of system file pickers, media pickers, sharing interfaces, and storage locations may depend on your operating system and device.

TeroPDF is not responsible for files that you accidentally select, overwrite, move, delete, or share using your device or other applications.

You should maintain independent copies of important documents.

TeroPDF may provide document scanning through the Google ML Kit document scanner supplied using Google Play services.

Google describes this scanner as an on-device scanning flow in which Google Play services handles the scanner interface and camera interaction and the user controls which scanned results are returned to the application.

Scanner availability may depend on Google Play services, device capabilities, available memory, operating-system support, and other technical requirements.

TeroPDF may provide a fallback scanning method where supported. A fallback method that directly uses your device camera may require Camera permission.

You remain responsible for reviewing scanned pages before relying on or distributing the resulting PDF.

TeroPDF is a technical document-processing tool.

Processing results may vary depending on factors such as:

• source-file quality;
• scan quality;
• image resolution;
• document layout;
• language;
• fonts;
• unsupported PDF features;
• encryption;
• corruption of the source document;
• device limitations; and
• operating-system or third-party component behavior.

You should review important output before relying on, signing, filing, printing, publishing, transmitting, or distributing it.

OCR results in particular may contain recognition errors and should not be assumed to reproduce the source document perfectly.

Features such as electronic signatures, form filling, redaction, metadata editing, password protection, and document unlocking are provided as technical tools.

TeroPDF does not guarantee that a signature created or inserted using the application satisfies the legal requirements for an electronic or digital signature in every country, transaction, organization, or regulated context.

You are responsible for determining whether a document or signature meets the requirements applicable to your intended use.

Similarly, you should independently verify that confidential information has been properly removed before distributing a redacted document.

You may use password-unlocking functionality only for documents that you are legally authorized to access or unlock.

IT-Keys is not responsible for forgotten document passwords or for your inability to recover a document protected by a password you selected.

You may use TeroPDF only for lawful purposes.

You must not use TeroPDF to:

• infringe copyright, privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property, or other rights;
• forge or fraudulently alter documents;
• impersonate another person or falsify records unlawfully;
• remove security or password protection from a document without authorization or another lawful basis;
• create, process, distribute, or facilitate unlawful or malicious content;
• attempt to interfere with, disrupt, damage, or compromise TeroPDF or services used by the application;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to non-public systems, APIs, infrastructure, or application components;
• circumvent technical protections designed to protect TeroPDF or third-party services; or
• use TeroPDF in a way that violates applicable law.

Subject to these Terms, IT-Keys grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to install and use TeroPDF on devices that you own or control, subject to applicable app-store rules.

You may use TeroPDF for lawful personal or internal business purposes.

Except where applicable law expressly allows otherwise, you may not:

• sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or redistribute TeroPDF;
• copy or commercially exploit the application;
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive its source code;
• modify or create derivative works based on TeroPDF;
• remove or alter copyright, trademark, attribution, or ownership notices; or
• attempt to bypass security mechanisms or gain unauthorized access to protected application components.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that applicable law does not allow us to restrict.

TeroPDF is currently provided as an advertising-supported application.

Advertisements may be supplied through Google AdMob and related Google advertising services.

Ad availability, format, frequency, personalization, and content may vary according to factors such as your country, device, application configuration, consent choices, advertising availability, and Google's advertising systems.

Where required, TeroPDF uses Google's User Messaging Platform to obtain or manage advertising-related privacy choices before relevant advertising requests are made. Google's UMP SDK uses updated consent information to determine whether ads may be requested.

You may also be provided with privacy options allowing you to review or modify advertising privacy choices where required.

IT-Keys does not control the specific content of every advertisement supplied by an advertising provider.

TeroPDF may use Firebase Analytics and related Google services to understand application usage, performance, and feature engagement.

Google Analytics for Firebase automatically records certain events and user properties and can also receive events defined by the application.

TeroPDF may also rely on Google Play services, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Mobile Ads, and related Google infrastructure to provide technical application functionality.

These third-party services are governed by their own terms, policies, service availability, and technical requirements.

Please see the TeroPDF Privacy Policy for more information about how these services relate to privacy and data processing.

TeroPDF currently does not require users to create a TeroPDF account or sign in to use its normal PDF-processing functionality.

Because no TeroPDF account is required, there is no TeroPDF account subscription, account profile, or cloud document account associated with normal use of the application.

If TeroPDF introduces optional accounts or account-based functionality in the future, the applicable Terms and Privacy Policy will be updated before or when those features are introduced, as required.

TeroPDF is currently offered as a free, advertising-supported application.

The current version does not require a recurring TeroPDF subscription to access the normal functionality described in these Terms.

We may introduce, remove, or modify features or business models in future versions, subject to applicable law and appropriate updates to these Terms and related disclosures.

If paid products are introduced in the future, applicable pricing and purchase conditions will be disclosed before a user makes a purchase.

TeroPDF is not a cloud backup or permanent document-storage service.

Documents and generated files may be stored locally on your device or in a location that you choose through the operating system.

You are responsible for:

• keeping backups of important files;
• confirming that generated documents have been saved successfully;
• maintaining sufficient device storage;
• protecting access to your device; and
• managing documents after they are exported or shared.

Uninstalling TeroPDF, clearing application data, deleting files, changing devices, or operating-system behavior may cause locally stored information to become unavailable.

IT-Keys is not responsible for failing to maintain your own backups.

TeroPDF may allow you to export, open, or share a generated document using Android or another operating-system sharing mechanism.

Once you intentionally provide a document to another application, cloud-storage service, messaging service, email provider, website, person, or third party, that recipient's handling of the document is outside TeroPDF's control.

You are responsible for confirming the recipient and destination before sharing sensitive documents.

TeroPDF relies on or interacts with third-party services, including services supplied by Google, such as:

• Google Play and Google Play services;
• Google ML Kit document scanner;
• Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads;
• Google's User Messaging Platform;
• Firebase services; and
• Android system file, media, and sharing interfaces.

Google Play services dynamically provides the ML Kit document-scanner models, scanning logic, and scanner UI.

Third-party services may become temporarily unavailable, change their requirements, discontinue functionality, or behave differently across devices or regions.

IT-Keys does not control third-party services and cannot guarantee their continuous availability.

Your use of those services may also be subject to the applicable provider's own terms and privacy policies.

Except for User Content and third-party materials, TeroPDF and its associated intellectual property belong to IT-Keys or its licensors.

This includes, where applicable, the TeroPDF software, source and object code, interface designs, logos, graphics, text, documentation, trademarks, and branding.

No ownership rights in TeroPDF are transferred to you under these Terms.

We may release updates to TeroPDF that include:

• security updates;
• bug fixes;
• performance improvements;
• compatibility changes;
• interface changes;
• new functionality;
• modified functionality; or
• removal of functionality.

Some updates may be necessary for compatibility, security, Google Play requirements, third-party service requirements, or changes in operating systems.

We do not guarantee that every feature will remain available indefinitely or on every supported device.

We aim to keep TeroPDF functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Certain functionality may become unavailable because of:

• device incompatibility;
• operating-system changes;
• Google Play services availability;
• lack of internet connectivity for network-dependent services;
• insufficient storage or memory;
• software defects;
• third-party outages;
• service changes; or
• events outside our reasonable control.

Core document-processing functionality may operate locally, while advertising, analytics, messaging, scanner component downloads, or other third-party functions may require connectivity.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TeroPDF is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

IT-Keys does not make warranties that TeroPDF will:

• always be available;
• operate without interruption or errors;
• support every PDF or document;
• preserve every document perfectly;
• produce error-free OCR or conversions;
• satisfy every legal, regulatory, professional, or technical requirement; or
• operate indefinitely with every third-party service or device.

Any warranties that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IT-Keys and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of TeroPDF.

This may include loss of documents, data, revenue, profits, business opportunities, productivity, confidentiality, or expected savings.

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups and reviewing important documents before relying on them.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law, including mandatory consumer protections or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

You may stop using TeroPDF at any time by uninstalling the application.

IT-Keys may restrict or discontinue access to TeroPDF or particular functionality where reasonably necessary because of:

• unlawful use;
• abuse or interference with the application;
• a significant security risk;
• fraud;
• legal or regulatory requirements;
• third-party service discontinuation; or
• technical necessity.

Because TeroPDF currently does not require a user account, there is ordinarily no TeroPDF user account to terminate.

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in connection with TeroPDF and forms an important part of your relationship with us.

The Privacy Policy includes information about local document processing, system file selection, scanning, advertising, Firebase, analytics, and third-party Google services.

If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy concerning the handling of personal information, the Privacy Policy will govern that privacy-related issue to the extent required by applicable law.

We may update these Terms to reflect:

• application changes;
• new or removed features;
• changes to advertising or third-party services;
• security requirements;
• legal or regulatory requirements; or
• changes in our business practices.

The updated Terms will display a revised "Last updated" date.

Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.

Your continued use of TeroPDF after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If you do not agree with updated Terms, you should stop using TeroPDF.

These Terms do not limit consumer rights or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or limited to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

Our failure to enforce a provision at any time does not waive our right to enforce it later.

These Terms and the TeroPDF Privacy Policy constitute the agreement between you and IT-Keys concerning the subject matter they address, except where additional mandatory terms apply through Google Play, your device platform, or applicable law.
